Julian and David will be attending this talk where Dr Richard Gunstone will characterise the Internet of Things as a concept, comparing with developments and visions in the pervasive computing field. He will describe application areas for the concept, and interpret this in the context of cyber security challenges. He will finally draw conclusions and observations about what the IoT means for the future.

SIPLACE OIB enables software developers to seamlessly integrate SIPLACE solutions into other systems. Their shared objective is to have a smart factory in which software components form an intelligent whole and processes are mapped across machines and equipment from different manufacturers.
We will be attending the China Innovation Hub event where Professor Hongnian Yu will be giving a talk on Industry 4.0 from the Chinese viewpoint and how businesses can engage with strategic advice and training support for doing business in China.
The first two day summit will bring together a number of key stakeholders to discuss the rollout of Industry 4.0 technologies and hurdles that need to be overcome.
